- In southeastern province of Mersin, seven ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) members were detained after an anti-ISIL operation of the Gaziantep anti-terror branches in cooperation with the Mersin police.
Within the operation targeting the Kızkalesi neighbordhood of Erdemli district, police teams detained seven people, who were spotted to have been mediating domestic and foreign terror organization sympathizers, and providing logistic support and material handling.
The officials identified that the suspects named V.K., M.S,K and A.L. were Turkish citizens, while H.E.M., R.Ş.M., A.E.H. and M.V. were subjects of Syria. The suspects were sent to the Gaziantep province for interrogation, local reports say.
